Julie DeMott - flute
Julie has over 20 years of professional performing experience. She holds a master of music degree from Indiana University, where she studied with Peter Lloyd and Kathryn Lukas. From 1994 - 2003 she performed in both small and large ensembles and as a soloist throughout the Eastern region of the United States and parts of Europe as a flutist in the United States Air Force. She performed on over 10 Cds; one as soloist. She has performed with regional orchestras in the Southeastern region of the United States as both a member, guest, and as soloist. She currently resides in Savannah GA. Her personal philosophy regarding the power of music can be summed up in the words of American orator Robert G. Ingersoll ~ "Music expressed feeling and thought, without language; it was below and before speech, and it is above and beyond all words."
